What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a process of calming the mind and allowing it to settle, so that we can live fully in the present moment so we can come back home to ourselves and find deep peace and true understanding in all areas of our lives. In mindfulness we use the breath to settle our minds so that we can move away from our habitual attachment to obsessive thought and worry and into a steady, more peaceful pace. At this point we can connect to, enjoy and appreciate life on life’s terms and be open to the powerful and joyful acceptance of our place on the planet and the intrinsic goodness in ourselves and in all things. We sometimes call this “coming home” to ourselves.
